The First Name in Trailers Manufactures the Lightest Weight Dry Van

Utility - The First Name in Trailers will be at Booth #20145 in Dallas, Texas at The Great American Trucking Show on August 25 through August 27, 2011. Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company invites you to stop by and see what is new in their line of trailers.

Since 1914, when E.W. Bennett and H.C. Bennett started with a single axle trailer suited to haul 60 bales of cotton, to the present where fuel efficiency and environmental mandates are the norm, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company has set out to redefine the transportation industry.

One of the first new trailers to roll off the production line sporting a new lightweight design is the 3000R(R), an entirely new product built from the ground up as opposed to redesigning and reformatting a current design. This refrigerator trailer was the first product of a brand-spanking new plant built in Clearfield, Utah and the continual innovation puts this reefer in the best-selling category of refrigerated trailers.

Following up with the U.S. EPA Smartway certified 4000D-X(R) Dry Freight Van, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company made strides forward in their quest to capture the market on lightweight, fuel efficient trailers. This is the first dry van to be certified by the U.S. EPA Smartway program, which signifies a partnership between the manufacturer and the government to protect our environment. The U.S. EPA Smartway certification indicates that the vehicle has been designated as a very good environmental performer.

Using the advanced foaming technology borrowed from the 3000R(R), 4000D-X Composite(R) trailer became the lightest weight, most productive composite dry van available to date. This dry van is produced in Glade Spring, Virginia and situated to serve the East Coast and Canada.

Features of the 4000D-X Composite(R) trailer include composite plate rear-door panels, diamond pattern SS doors, doubles/pintle hooks, an HD 14 gauge galvanized steel wearband, heavy-duty aluminum floors, roll up doors, translucent roofs, and a utility wide track system.

The 4000D-X Composite(R) trailer comes with an ABS (Anti-lock) warning light Grote(R) Micronova(R) L.E.D. P2-Rated Light, Bendix TABS-6 2S/1M ABS System with SR-5 Spring Brake Valve ABS Anti-lock brake system, and a Hendrickson(R) HKANT 40K Air Ride/Slider System.

The flooring in the dry van has been caulked between each joint prior to assembly and pre-coated with a black sealer on the bottom of a wooden floor. A laminated hardwood floor has been attached with two screws per board which all add up to making the flooring weather tight.

Interior and exterior construction of the dry van uses the latest technology and products to create a strong, sturdy container.
