I hear it all the time, yep I have a website. Then I ask.....how much traffic do you have? uh I think we had 60 million hits last month....BS

The greatest thing about the web is accountability, even the most basic statistics programs can give you enough information to determine if your website is producing any benefit for your company or organization. It's very simple to start with counting "unique visitors" to a site. This tells you how many individual visitors are coming to your website on a daily basis. Once that number is established, then we start looking at how many pages they view per visit.
