Truckers Start State-by-State Fuel Boycott

In his April 4 blog post, Trucker to Trucker's George Wilkins suggested a rolling state fuel boycott. George asked, "What would happen if truckers refused to purchase diesel fuel in Indiana for a week or two?" Well, we're about to find out! In an April 8 comment to George's post, Sonny came up with a fuel boycott schedule and asked us to pass the word.
"Economics WILL get their attention," said Sonny. "If only 100 trucks a day participate -- that's 700 trucks a week at about $1,000 to fill up -- that's a little less than three-quarters of a million dollars. That's not counting sales besides those at the pump. Now take a guess how many trucks cross any given state per day; and if only a small percentage takes part, that's still a pretty LOUD statement!"
Here's the boycott schedule. If you can, blast through each state without stopping for fuel or anything else. Let's see what the power of the dollar can do for us.
- April 6-12: IL, NJ, NM, UT
- April 13-19: IN, NY, MS, NC
- April 20-26: PA, VA, AR, GA
- April 27-May 3: OH, SC, FL, IA
- May 4-10: CT, AL, OR, CO

GOD BLESS the truckers saw the protest in washington on fox just remember you are helping more than you know the little mom and pop stations are behind you i will put it on my gas price sign showing support for the truckers just let us know what we can do to help lol i cant afford to sell diesel so i know its really bad to fill up those rigs

I didn't see any of the western states listed. There's one scheduled for Wa. state this Friday the 11th. California diesel is well over $4 and not a peep about it.

The boycots need to target a specific fuel company for a week or so. If everyone skips a day of buying fuel, that only inconveniences the driver. Everyone will buy more fuel the next day. The suppliers are not out anything. If you boycot Exxon or Shell for a week and buy from someone else, Exxon or Shell will be very much hurt and have to make changes.

Gene has the right idea. Supporting week- or month-long boycotts of Exxon, Chevron, BP, and Shell would hit the station owners hard. Don' buy ANYTHING from them!
I'm just a little guy going from KC to Cincinnati on I-70, I-64 and I-71. I fill up in KC, St. Louis an on I-71, NE of Louisville. I try damn hard to NEVER buy ANYTHING on the trips through IL and IN, specially Exxon, Shell, Chevron and BP.
Shell and Texaco brands are the same. From a U.S.EPA court papers and settlement:
"Motiva Enterprises LLC is a joint venture of Shell, Texaco, and Saudi Refining, Inc.(marketing east of the Mississippi)
Equilon Enterprises LLC is a joint venture between Shell Oil Company and Texaco Inc. (marketing west of the Mississppi) and Deer Park Refining Limited Partnership is a joint venture of Shell and a subsidiary of Petroleos Mexicanos". These cabals owned 10+% of refining capacity in the U.S. The U.S. EPA has mandated low sulphur diesel, too, which causes much higher diesel prices. So, Shell(the Dutch), the Saudis, and the Mexicanos are collecting bigtime under the Texaco and Shell named retail stores.
Diesel in KC is supplied by Conoco/Phillips (the only tank farm in town for gas, diesel and jet fuel!)and is $3.81 to $3.83 on the MO side, today. KS is higher, as y'all probly know.

The fuel prices are hitting everyone around the world. Not only America. With Mobil-exxon earning over $40 billion in profit for the last financial year,they are earing about $78,027 a minute, that is $1300 a second. How long does it take you to earn $1300.
Parking up your truck is a graet idea, but why don't we expand on it.
Where do the oil companies earn their money from? They earn it from the fuel stations we all buy from, weather they be truck stops, petrol stations, fuel stops, anywhere you can buy fuel from.
Parking our trucks is not hurting the oil companies, only ourselves. Why not park them at the service stations.
I recond there are enough trucks in this world to park at every fuel station for a major hurt on the oil companies.
Park your trucks up at night from 6pm to 6am every night at every fuel station for 7 nights.
No one can buy fuel, the comanies wont earn any profits, and the tucks can still earn a living during the day. A rolling strike. Shut all fuel stations down for 12 hours a day for 7 days. See if that would have an effect.
This would have to be a world wide thing so it would have maximum impact.
Have a good think on it everyone. Set a date so everyone in the world will do it at the same time.
Keep the rubber on the road and stay safe.

Hey You truckers... I was googling to find boycott info and found this... Call the local news stations... in these states... let them know too! So the little guys can help... We need our power as consumers to send the message... RECORD profits by oil companies... on the backs of the hard working citizens of this country (and others) are over... Remember the BOSTON TEA PARTY? ... we do have power.. Spread the word.. I am in Maine, and dont see it listed here.. please.... make a 50 state list... and some of you teams out on the road.. get on the airwaves,cellphones,etcc, and put the word out... NEWS atations are hungry for this stuff since all they can report daily is.... FUEL ROSE AGAIN TODAY... Start with the bigger highest profit companies.. Say pick 2 companies a week long boycott, in multiple states..no cars, no trucks... there just is NO excuse for bending over to them anymore!
