Should We Ban Mexican Trucks? Continued...
Thanks to you, members of Congress have gotten the message that giving Mexican trucks a blank check to come into the US without having to comply with out safety laws. In fact, just this past month, two Senators, Byron Dorgan (a Democrat) and Arlen Spector (a Republican) have stated they were going to try to muster support to stop the pilot program that was initiated this last month that gives Mexican trucks full access to our roads.
Many Republicans, however, say they would not support these two senators because they say Mexico has stricter standards than Canada, whose trucks have full access. John Hill of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said yesterday that “It is unfortunate that some in the Senate would seek to deprive US consumers of the significant savings, and US truck drivers of the significant new opportunities that the cross-border trucking demonstration project is generating.”
So far only one Mexican company, Transportes Olympic, is the only carrier allowed to participate in the program , and it says it will only use long haul trucks that are three year-old or less.
Although there is much discussion of safety standards, seems that at the border US officials are simply allowing trucks across by simply examining information that the carrier gives them. The Inspector General says that information on inspections, accidents, insurance, and driver violations are not yet available in the database.
Well maybe the Mexicans have better standards than Canada, but until we see the proof, I think we need to remain skeptical. All I can say is keep writing, emailing, and calling your representatives in Washington until you are happy with the results.

This is part of the North American Union. They are now building a Port of Entry in St. Louis and will be run by Mexicans. If a candidate that is for amnesty gets elected we are doomed. They say they will build the fence after they get the amnesty they want. They aren't going to secure the borders. Even if started the fence today it would be years before they did enough for it to be effective. By that time and at the rate they have babies it would be too late. Already, there are more coming over than usual because they think they will get amnesty. We can't let someone who wants amnesty into the White House. 85% of the country voted down amnesty. Who are these people who are voting for candidates that want it. It proves to them that we have no say in anything. I live in Vegas. The candidates are here. They were going to set up places for the employees to vote in the casinos. A couple months ago a spokesman for Station Casinos said if we deport illegals he would have to fill 50,000 jobs. Do you need any more proof that illegals are voting. Hillary thought she had the culinary union sewed up. But they endorsed Obama. The next day the Teachers Union who back Hillary, sued to stop them from putting voting places in the casino. Hillary said she had nothing to do with it.
I am so sick of Hillary saying to a room full of Hispanics that America needs a change of heart, McCain says he is doing it out of compassion. B S he is doing it for the Mexican vote. He will sell out America to be Pres. And those of us who are against amnesty are called racists. So the candidates for the Pres of the U.S. call 85% of America heartless racists with no compassion. People in Texas right now are fighting to keep the government from taking their land for the super highway from Mexico to Canada. Does anyone believe they are going to seal the borders? They want us all to work for the low wages illegals work for.And if an amnesty candidate is elected that is what they will get.

What we need is a Pee'd off Nationalist to run. Someone who's willing and able to pound the ever loving poo poo out of the podeum as he's screaming at the bleeding heart liberals and calling them on their dirty workings.
We need someone like Michael Savage (wish he'd run), or someone who's not afraid to give Sharpton the finger at a press conference.

Ron Paul IS still running for president, despite what the Old Media are implying, and if he wins, this problem will go away. if not, we will be foced into the whole NAU plan. fo now, few people know about the problem of the mexican military coming accross our border often, and i am not hearing much about the truckers right now, so does anyone care?
