trucking deal which will now see Mexican operators and trucks on America's highways. President
Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon have announced that a cross border trucking deal is
now 'imminent'.

US Rep. Bob Filner, a Democrat from California, believes the US is not ready for cross border
trucking operations with Mexico. He is the first politician to openly come out and say what many
in the trucking industry have been thinking for some time. Finer's position contrasts sharply
with Texas politicians who appear to be broadly in favor of a deal whereby Mexican carriers,
currently restricted to within 25 miles of the major port destinations along the border, will be
allowed to haul throughout the US.

concept document" to act as a starting point for a cross border trucking agreement.
